In defense of Tsubaki Factory

Poor, poor Tsubaki Factory... Constantly neglected in favour of their Kobushi brethren. Let's be honest, Kobushi Factory is awesome and Tsubaki Factory's first two singles were distinctly... average by comparison.

But people can be so cruel to these budding camelias. I've heard things such as- "(insert member name) are only in the group because they are pretty", "None of them can sing", "for a group that only exists because the members are pretty they sure are average looking".

Now let's be honest, these criticisms are not unfounded especially when you compare the group to Kobushi Factory (Who are already one of the best groups in H!P). However, I am here to play devil's advocate and defend Tsubaki.

First of all, Yes, Tsubaki does not sound as good vocally as Kobushi. This is undeniably true. However, they have improved considerably since they debuted and will probably continue to do so into the future. Kobushi also has the advantage of more members which makes it easier to hide any less vocally talented members.

The members of both Tsubaki and Kobushi are undeniably beautiful. Tsubaki is especially lucky seeing how for some reason, the first official pictures for new members always...Look awkward.
 Case and point.

Also let's be honest, Kobushi has been getting better songs. Every song released by Kobushi so far has been awesome. Tsubaki's songs have been forgettable by comparison. It made me wonder... Does the managment hate Tsubaki for some reason?

Actually, It reminds me of a similar situation back in 2006. Remember these little upstarts?

Wanna see what they look like now (minus a few members)?

Its amzing to see how far C-ute has come since they were formed. The girls who weren't good enough to be in Berryz Koubou. The left overs. Now easily the most talented group in H!P.

The two Factory groups were given their names in honour of Berryz Koubou. It makes me wonder if Tsubaki's start in life as the lesser factory groups is meant to reflect what happened with C-ute.
It makes me wonder whether history will follow the same pattern with Tsubaki Factory. For a possible preview of what might be to come, let's take a look at how far the girls of C-ute have come since their debut.

2006- Meet Maimi, an average singer and dancer. Leader of the Berryz rejects.

2016- Meet Maimi, A pretty good singer and awesome dancer, leader of the whole of H!P.

2006- Meet Saki, she's a shy 12 year old who can't really sing or dance...

2016- Meet Saki, she is easily one of the best dancers in H!P and (in my humble opinion) the most beautiful girl in the entire world. Her singing has also improved somewhat.

2006- Meet Airi, ok, Airi was always pretty awesome.

2016- Meet Airi, basically 2006 Airi x100.

2006- Meet Chisato, a cute little girl who more often than no looks like a little boy.

2016- Meet Chisato, one of the best singers in H!P, one of the best dancers in H!P and one of the most beautiful young women I've ever seen!

2006- Meet Mai, a cute little chipmunk wearing oversized sunglasses.

2016- Meet Mai, fully grown chipmunk and great all round performer.

So it seems this post became more about C-ute than Tsubaki. I wonder how that happened?
Anyway my point wasn't that people should stop being critical of Tsubaki since I'm sure it will only make them stronger. My point is that even if Tsubaki has been getting the short end of the stick so far, I'm sure they will pull through and become a great idol group.
