getting into akb48 part 3 member spotlight- miichan

"Rebellious stage for 7 days a week! I'm Minegishi Minami, also known as Miichan."

Minegishi Minami (otherwise known as miichan) is the currant captain of akb48's team 4. Miichan's journey as a member has been a rocky one at best. First she joined akb48 as a member of team A in October of  200, she was then transferred to team K on August 23 2009 and was later transferred to team B on August 24 2012. After that stuff gets a bit dramatic so before I talk about all that, feel free to watch this video of her singing.
Then disaster struck, as it does for so many other idols. Photos of Miichan spending the night with Alan Shirahama ( a member of the group GENERATIONS) were published. Due to the shock Miichan decided to cut her hair really short (shaving ones head is a sign of remorse in Japanese culture). Below is a video Discussing this situation, feel free to watch at your leisure.

Miichan's story does not end here though and after the scandal she was demoted to the kenkyuusei (trainees) and she would later be promoted to team 4 as it's captain. The video below is from the 5th senbatsu election (basically the group's big popularity contest where fans vote on the their favorite member) in which Miichan is awarded 18th place (good going girl!). I recommend you watch the video as it is one of the few youtube videos that has ever made me cry.
Miichan's personal strength as well as compassion toward her group makes her my favorite akb48 member ever (to be fair I can only name four as of right now, so she does not have much competition at the moment)
The legend of Miichan will live on till the end of time but this post can not do the same so...
BYE!

(today I worked out that I can name 2.8776978417266187050359712230216% of currant akb48 members YAY FOR MATHS!)
